Lunar Eclipse

Home ] Up ]

On October 28th, 2004 we stayed up late to watch the lunar eclipse.  We watched it with the telescope and took some pictures with the Canon SLR and a 70-200mm F 2.8 lens set at 1/125 second and 800 ISO.

Just prior to the eclipse beginning

Earth's shadow begins to cover the moon

The shadow grows larger

Nearly halfway there

The moon is more than halfway covered by the Earth's shadow

It was quite an amazing sight
